I find it interesting where the mind goes when diving for long hours into that good night.

One particular evening didn't go gently.

On this particular night there was an epic display of thunder and lightning.
Then came the wet deluge.
At times there was no visibility. At times I forgot I was driving on a highway.

There were long stretches of no traffic and there I would just listen to the pulse of the wiper blades, which inspired the initial loop and bass patterns for this track.

The desperate creep of loneliness and detachment magnify as the hours tick by. It reminded me of a similar late night journey through an intense blizzard. The mechanical carcasses of vehicles on the side of the road, strewn about like soldiers littered on a forgotten battlefield. Their bones glisten in the absence of light.

The two images rolled and tumbled in my mind and at the end of the storm, I hibernated in my workstation and began to realise these thoughts as sound.

Listen in the dark, during a storm, and look for the light, glistening in the abyss of the endless night.
